When I first learned about Jane Killion's Puppy Culture I was so excited to have a program, tried and true, developed by veterinarians, breeders, and researchers. I was even more excited when I began reading the program, to discover that we already were doing so many things in line with Puppy Culture. Do your research - pups that come from a breeder using Puppy Culture have a great start in life!

***We will be adding information and tips to this page ... on an ongoing basis.
- Yes! The puppy will be dewormed 2-3 times before it comes to you, and will receive vaccines at the 6 week mark. The vet record will be in your folder.
- OFA clearances on: hips, elbows, heart, eyes. Penn-hip on some dogs. Genetic panels from Embark or PawPrints.
- $500 non-refundable deposit goes toward total cost. Total cost $3500-$4000
- Deposits: check or Venmo
- Final payment: check or cash only, due at 7 weeks of age (1 week before pick up ) Square may be available soon.
- Contacting us through email or text is completely fine, and sometimes very helpful to get the ball rolling.
- A puppy will not become reserved until:
- a puppy application is complete
- a brief phone interview takes place
- a deposit is received
- On the application, there are places to let us know what you are looking for, and we stay in close contact with future owners throughout the 8 week time that we are raising them.
- You will be notified within 48 hours when pups are born.
- Pups will not be selected/ matched until after the 6 week vet exam, but by 2 weeks old, the client will have a general knowledge of the availability for the litter.
- The breeder always reserves the right for first pick of the litter, and after that, pups are available in the order of deposits. If clients are unable to visit the pups at the 6 week time, we will have a phone appointment.
- For the health and safety of the pups and mama, we will not accept client visits during the first few weeks.
- If you want to visit and meet the mother dog prior to the pups arriving (but after the reservation is complete) appointments will be available.
- After the pups are born, clients receive LOTS of pictures and videos at every stage.
- Clients are invited to visit as early as 5 weeks, but most wait until after the 6 week appointment at which time, preferences are made.
- Registration papers (AKC for golden retrievers, pet registration ltd., GANA for goldendoodles, pet registration)
- Records from the vet, including a 6 week puppy exam and 6 week vaccinations, and deworming dates
- Collar or harness if requested
- toy/ blankie
- zip lock baggie of current puppy food
- sample of Nuvet Supplement
- most importantly ... a well-adjusted, healthy puppy well on its way to crate training and potty training
